Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Who should I contact with questions about the program, or how do I report program bugs?

A: Please contact Jeff Brunskill (Email: or Phone: 570-389-4355) with questions or comments about the program. To report program bugs/problems, please send an email to Jeff Brunskill with a detailed description of the issue (include descriptions of error messages and screenshots, if possible).

Q: How often will the program be updated?

A: We are continually working to improve the program functionality and fix minor bugs; however, substantial changes will typically be made only in the spring semester when the senior-level object-oriented software engineering course meets.

Q: How do I improve the performance of the program on my PC.

A: For optimal performance, the client requires a fast internet connection and a 64-bit PC with at least 8 GB RAM. At the present time the program is optimized for performance on the Bloomsburg University campus. Off campus, slower internet connection speeds will result in increased video load times. In addition, the video playback for users with older/slower PCs may be somewhat choppy.

The client's performance can be improved by (1) choosing to download the smaller/lower quality videos on the login screen, and (2) by turning off data types that you do not plan to use. The webcam, weather map and weather station data types can be managed on the login screen, or on the main program interface.
